Jesse Ward

Jesse grew up on a family farm outside of Three Hills, AB and has been driving tractors almost since birth. With more than 20 years of working in this sector, Jesse has an extensive knowledge of arable farming along with some livestock experience. He is passionate about seeing innovation and improvement in grain farming, and loves the family culture that is deeply rooted in agriculture. He and Rachel have been married for over 8 years and have been blessed with 2 beautiful daughters. Jesse cares deeply about seeing the family farm preserved for generations, with this desire directly rooted in hoping to see his girls as an active part of the family farm. 

 

Jesse holds an MBA from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary, but his passion for business always ties back to the farm. 

 

Rachel Ward

Rachel grew up in Kamloops, BC in a family of 4 girls and moved to Alberta to earn her degree in Bioinformatics at the University of Calgary. After marrying Jesse and being adopted into farm life, she quickly grew to love the culture, rhythms and values of farming. Seeing her two daughters find joy in farming deeply motivates her to ensure the family farm is preserved for generations. Rachel has always cared about serving the community and in 2013 she founded a successful Social Enterprise that created meaningful work opportunities for over 100 women needing a fresh start. Rachel is currently earning her Medical Degree at the University of Alberta and hopes to support the health of farmers as a future doctor. She is a dedicated wife, mother, entrepreneur and life-long learner who cares about leaving things better than when she got there.
